Yo, I've started making a (no-gi) grappling technique map with rudimentary 3D animations, check it out:
http://eel.is/GrappleMap/
Beware though, the WebGL rendering and dynamic SVG diagrams only seem to run well with Chrome, so I strongly recommend using that browser.
Here's a video of a randomly generated path that covers nearly half of what's currently in the map:
As you can see, some moves look okay-ish, others still look crap. It's all a work in progress. The goal obviously isn't to look as good as the UFC games that are made by a professional game studio with high end motion capturing. The goal of the animations in the GrappleMap is just to express flows of entanglements and postures, and to make it easy to add new transitions by hand (I wrote a little custom character animation editor for the purpose).
There's a fair amount of 10th Planet stuff in the map already, but like everything else, it needs a LOT of elaboration, refinement, and polishing.
The whole thing is open source + open data. For the map to reach its potential, I'll eventually need other contributors to help me map more techniques, because as we all know there's so GOD DAMN much jiu jitsu/judo/wrestling/etc technique...
I wrote a FAQ for the project:
https://github.com/Eelis/GrappleMap/...ter/doc/FAQ.md
Very interested to hear your thoughts!
Maybe soon I'll announce the project on the BJJ subreddit and some other forums as well.
