    Might the lack of guaranteed pay be one of the reasons for some of the big names dropping out or not wanting to participate?

    I harken to say that that's probably a main reason. Gordan Ryan's win over Keenan showed that even a guy of Keenan's caliber has no guarantees of getting a payday should they participate. Having said that, EBI is only growing and it's only a matter of time that more big names will join. I would be in favor of other cash prizes, maybe 10% of the purse going to second place or something.
