So far this new Metallica album sounds like it's going to be the perfect blend of old school Ride the Lightning/Master of Puppets Metallica with commercial Black Album Metallica.

i cant wait for this album to come out its been to long and with i sounding like a mix of those albums i dont think you can go wrong

out of the 3 songs so far my fav is moth into flame

I totally missed that era of Metallica and just recently went back to listen to those songs a little. It seems to me like they are more heavy rock than thrash metal.

Some other great thrash metal albums out recently are:

Death Angel
Testament
Avenged Sevenfold
Suicidal Tendencies
Flotsam and Jesam
Megadeth

yeah i think that is the best way to describe them

cool ill check them albums out never gave any of them bands a listen except megadeath and only ever heard of suicidal tendencies when rob was with ozzy
