Versus Grappling Newcastle UK December 2016

Hi Guys,

I competed at Versus Grappling Newcastle UK December 2016 at ultra heavy and took home the Silver in Gi, Bronze No-Gi, and Bronze No-Gi Absolute, didn't medal in the Gi Absolute, but gave it a go anyway. I've done about two hours gi work and bought a Gi literally two days before competing just to give it a go and test myself.

Thanks to my instructor Luke Randell of 10th Planet Darlington for supporting and training me, and to all those that I've rolled with in class.

P.S. The blood on my shoulder isn't because I'm a white belt and don't know how to do laundry, but because I took an uppercut square to mouth during the stand up. However, I wasn't going to let that stop the match, so I got into lockdown with double unders and used my rashguard to dab my nose on.
