why does china have 0 ground fighting they got throws kickboxing but no ground game

A quick google fu shows that there are several traditional styles of grappling and wrestling throughout chinese history.

Does anyone have any history on Soviet Era Martial Arts and other Eastern European styles. I have heard that during the Soviet Era only state sanctioned sports like Sambo, Judo, or Boxing were allowed to be practiced; anything else was practiced underground or in the Military.

Dont really understand the question but I do know sambo coaches in the 80s got paid more if the sambo team wins. Good motivation for a country so poor
