Another way to pull guard in MMA ?

What do you think of this way to pull guard in MMA ?

I love this series, but have a hard time calling it pulling guard. It's more like a sacrifice throw. Kani-Basami or Camarillo's Chaotic come to mind.

Personally I love the idea of this guard, but will definitely say it is not for everyone. I personally would be worried about hurting someone else's knee in doing so. That being said, I am not a 140 lb string bean either..

It's Firas Zahabi, I mean this technique can't be too shitty, at least for him (and people with his size) and for the given situation. I'm wondering if this will also play out well in a pure grappling situation. I will definetely play around with that.

Mechanically it's a legit move; there are however a lot of principles that need to be mastered on multiple levels to realistically pull this off. You see very few guys in MMA pulling guard. Kron Gracie will jump guard but you're talking about a legend in the making in terms of the jiu jitsu world.

Generally you want to be the guy on top in a fight. It's never wrong to go that route. To justify pulling any sort of guard when punches are involved, your ground game better be fire. Merely being 'very good' won't cut it. That's just my perspective.
