That’s their uncle, it makes sense that they have his back. If my nephew made a breakdown video of my match with Leo Viera I would hope that he did his best at spinning it

Pointing positive things about your uncle is something but trying to blacken an innocent person who doesnt have any disrespect to your family is something else. Not ethical.

Would you want your nephew talking like “I am not telling that Viera’s Checkmat is bad but he won by points. In street there are no points. It was a good explanation of Eddie’s self defence skills. They could spin it however they want. At the end of the day, in retrospect, that match was a catalyst that changed the landscape of jiu jitsu.

It was that match that got me into 10th planet. I was a one stripe blue belt. The day after the match, myself and a few training partners came early to class and drilled that move several times; it became an obsession and still is. I needed more though and from there sought out the 10P Chicago peeps. If it wasn't for that match I don't know if my journey would have taken the turns it did, or if I would have eventually even joined this forum. It was monumental.

Eddie said that Geo's win over Eddie Cummings was the biggest win in 10th planet history. I would respectfully counter that Metamoris III takes the cake, or at least was the biggest 'Draw' in 10th planet history lol. It took 10th planet from the underground no-gi grappling club to the mainstream of jiu jitsu. Or as Amir Allam and I discussed once, it was the validation that made a black belt directly from the hands of Eddie Bravo equivalent to a college degree from a Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, versus a University of Phoenix
