Have you ever set up the reverse omoplata from anywhere but the turtle or the sprawl. I have been messing around with setting it up from the crucifix and from side control with an inside arm pin, but I was curious if Chris or anyone on here has another setup. For those curious, here is Chris demonstrating the reverse omoplata at 2:13.

Whats up man, I have played with that "reverse omoplata" for a while now.. I have hit it from crucifix, but it was against lower ranked/inexperienced partners.. its not really high percentage for me though.. its a lot of work to get their arm in the right position from the crucifix.. attacking this from the turtle is the highest percentage in my experience... I have also hit this from the top side Crucifix (arms trapped, but you're on top of them, instead of on their back..) .. Also, kind of irrelevent, but this is also called the Yadviga in Sambo..

For me it is not all about high or low percentage right now. I am more looking for new tricks in the bag to familiarize now and polish later. Also your name drop is not completely irrelevant. I found an interesting crucifix setup and "Yadviga" finish from knee on belly thanks to your knowledge drop starting at about 5:20. Thanks bud.

I was commentating at Kakuto Pro a couple of weeks ago and the guy who won the Judo Division subbed 2 guys with a Reverse Omoplata. It was awesome. I haven't personally spent enough time with it to understand it.

I was bing watching Jiu Jitsu instructionals and I found this. Marcelo demos a slick potential reverse omoplata entry but instead goes for the crucifix:

That entire set is GOLD, man. He has 4 DVDs on the Omoplata and Monoplata that changed the game for me.
