I've been obsessed with jiu jitsu for about 5 months now. My professor teaches Machado-based BJJ. I've been passively reading "Mastering The Rubberguard" for about 2 months and pull techniques on people in class all the time. The lockdown, jaws of life, whip-up, and old school have been working well against white and blue belts.
I'm planning on buying "Mastering The Twister" and "Advanced Rubberguard" this week to go balls deep in them.
My first two competitions are early next year. No-gi sub-only in January and an ibjjf tournament in February. My professor told me to be careful because some of Eddie Bravo's techniques are illegal. Which ones are illegal? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
