I get a private in with him now and then. Leaving Work from west side of Houston, to get to him takes around 3 hours in rush hour. Which makes it 8pm at best to get there, with good traffic(wreak or rain could be 5). Me to work 2 hours other way. So hard to get to a class. Houston (3rd largest City) is like driving LA or NYC. If you never been here, and no Subs or trains across to cut traffic out. Unpreditcable.
Also Lonnie Vicky and I are old training partners before he came to 10thP. (he ranked past me by this move) Coach we had before was a Purple I was blue Lonnie left before Blue) Still trained 2 more years there, but relized I could not move up because of the coaches rank) When I can get there, which only been once so far. I would go there too. I been training traditional JJ(nogi) and striking classes in my garage since 2013. have not really had a full time gym since neck surgery in 2014. Just in and outs. But never stopped training and learning new stuff. Give me a point or 2 if you would on what you seeing wrong. It stays pretty tight. We practice when drilling resistants against postition as we do it. I know the sweep to triangle looks a little messed up with how slow we are trying to do it.
Other than that what do you see, just to give heads up. I learned this from a Eddie Bravo video back in 2012 and have landed this many times on people. Besides that armbar one, stumbled on it one day.
And yes I know armbar one looks close to a omaplata but it is not attacking the shoulder, it attacks the elbow and wrist. The key I found on that one. which I did sloppy here. Is when tucking the hand behind the back turning the wrist so the elbow is on hip. Post on other hand and push hips into elbow. If they come back to you to defend (coming back to you) it slides right back into the go-go plata. I started this because a lot of people would grab my ankle as when bringing to GoGo plata. and try to straight ankle me. So I would put my foot to ground to defend. Later learned from Brian Debes to underhook the other arm, and hook the arm pit with foot, to finish Go-Go plata. Then he started showing me the Stockade after that.
Today going to be looking at the meathook use and this getto choke.
Check my profile about me section it explains a lot about me in the Martial Arts world.
