Hey guys,
I just recently started playing with the 100%, specifically to deal with the underhook from modern half guard. I train at Absolute MMA here in Shanghai and there are some really good guys that play non 10P style half... sitting up with and underhook and turning the corner like Lachlan shows here
( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k2AuGZF4Nc ) (0:50)
I had a really difficult time handling their sweeps and takedowns from dog fight.
I have heard of the 100% and I knew Eddie used it in his match with Royler but I didnt really understand its purpose in terms of where it could be applied and which situations its effective in
Coach Peterson has a great video where he modifies it slightly and calls it the 200%
So my question is:
Does anyone use it?
If so from which positions?
When is it effective vs when is it not effective?
From what Ive seen you can use it when
Opponent shots for double leg
Opponent has underhook from bottom half and is turning the corner (dogfight)
Off a failed guillotine from full guard
Thanks
