Basic RG Question

Hey there, I've been having trouble with one of the guys I roll with. Whenever I pull Rubber Guard (or at least by the time I arrive at Chill Dog), he has his head planted to my opposite sides armpit. Now I am a really flexible guy and even using Mad Dog I can't do Kung Fu Move. Now I either stay in this position or just switch to full guard and start over. What options do I have instead of abandoning Rubber Guard or trying to work a Rescue Dog?

Sorry, messed up my question. What I need to know is how get my opponent to stop staying so tight to my body so I can actually work something instead of abandoning the position I worked hard to get. Also is the pump still usable while in invisible collar? That might solve my problem...

It should be. I usually go swim move in Invisible Collar or try to finish with IC, but Denny uses the Chill Bar which is essentially IC without crossing your legs. So I don't see why you couldn't pump. I think there's some footage of Eddie pumping in IC on the Mastering the Rubber Guard DVD. Experiment though. See what you can come up with. How tight is the dude crushing you? Are you forcing this position? If I wanna hit some RG stuff, I usually go for the hip bump and flow lickity split into what I want if he stuffs it. If he doesn't stuff it, I'm in mount position on top. If the guy's playing tight, I'll try to bait him into opening something up with a little elbow dig on the neck or something painful. It's a little douchey, but if a guy's constantly playing tight, he's being a little douchey too cause you aint learnin nothing. There has to be holes somewhere in his game you just have to think on a dime what the hole is a climb into it and see where it goes.

I would just let the situation dictate the choice. If I'm hitting the deep hook all the way across my body and my hips are outside, then it's easier just to roll belly down for the swim move. If I'm getting stacked and/or my opponent is more directly on top of me, then flipping them over to spider web is usually easier for me.

Instead of working the traditional pathway through eg, try flying newyork, or better yet flying kungfu
