Where were you? Watch the replays... Jason instagated and threw the first punch, then he got dealt with. Jake actually hit him first, why not call out Jake? When Gil stepped in between them and shoved Jason, Jason's hands flew up, looked like he swung on Jake and/or Gil. That's when all Mayhem broke out LoL! Mayhem's own dumbass fault, although he was doing a favor for Scott Coker. It ended the CBS broadcasts.... You are right about it being a dumb fight for Nick to take, but he still offered... The fight was set up and going down. Jason dick tucked, plain and simple. Daley has a better chance of a w than Jason anyway, so in the end the fan's win.

Message to wannabe gangsters who are professional athletes...make the smart decision and always keep your head. Now if you don't take the fight you're a punk and "scared homie" and if you do take the fight and lose or even win you gain nothing.

Sweet Nicky said he would fight him at 185...he's on tape...now he wants the fight at a lower wait...as soon as he found one Mayhem didn't want to cut to? C'mon son! Ain't nobody buying that shit. Nick club punched mayhem...didn't think Mayhem would be on him like this and catch fire and now he has to deal with it. He's right, mayhem doesn't deserve to fight him....he's the champ, but that's what happens when dumb as fresno kids try to be gangsta.
So first people give him shit for being "gangsta" and being a fighter, "he can't be an mixed Martial Artist and be ganster" said the douche-bags. Then he beat the shit out of Frank Shamrock, helped him off the mat and raised his hand, and people found out he has been doing mixed martial arts since he was a kid and they now question if he is "gangsta" enough to be repping the 209.
Give me a fucking break. How many retarded cards/stereotypes are people going to play before they just address the dude by what he is? He is a professional MMA fighter is one of the best in the world in his weight class. Nothing else about him affects that. Not where he is from, not that he smokes weed, not that he is probably more gangster than anybody knows, and not because he gives shitty interviews.
Of course Mayhem wants to fight him. He has beef with him and he likes making money. But, I don't believe that he would be promoting this circus shit show if he didn't know that he would make a lot of money off this fight.
Oh and I also don't believe that he would win, but it would be a great fight and I would probably pay to watch it. I like watching both of the fighters.

but I think you are missing the point. He "club punched" a guy. That translates to a bitch move in every circle. You balled up and through a punch at a dude not looking at you. Then the guy wants to fight you. You then offer to fight the guy at 185..but then think about it and realize it's a dumb idea so then you try to bounce out of it. Not because he is actually scared or couldn't beat mayhem..but because he is a world class fighter and has no PROFESSIONAL reason to fight. That's why he should have kept that right hand cocked and stayed out of it. I don't think he's a gangsta. I think he's a kid that let his persona get him into a stupid situation. Next time, as he learns how to behave as a champion, he will learn that you be the bigger person and never lose your head. Diaz took the bait.

Ok Bill, I'm trying to be with you, but come on...you know damn well that is a club punch. Now I really don't have a dog in this fight, I think Nick would beat Mayhem. My thing is this whole "keeping it real" thing is stupid. Nick is acting like a product of watching too much hip hop and kids are looking at him. He's trying to market his self, I get it. However, champs don't club punch dudes. There was no way Mayhem was going to take out the entire Gracie Fight Team no matter who he punched. Sorry, it's real ez to throw punches when it's 1 on 50.

The only acting is being done by Mayhem, trust me. I was with Nick backstage before this fight. He honestly doesn't like Mayhem and they were very explicit in showing this. Jason was "trying" to hard. Everyone just ignored him. Talk to Nick or Nate for a few minutes, watch their behavior and then tell me it's an act. I know it's not. And Nick will admit he loses it sometimes when he shouldn't, but that is just Nick. The only part of Nick that wasn't gangster that night, was his shoes! I was all over him about his grey suede crocks! Look at my pic, I think it shows them I don't blame Jason for soaking up the fame of this, but that is exactly what the Gracie camp was complaining about backstage before the fight. They were all pissed when Jason tried to hang out and chill with us. Was pretty straightforward about he was trying to get some fame and publicity off of them. That was before all this went down....

I don't think it boils down to being a 'club punch'. Think about what happened in less than 3 seconds. Dude comes in and gets someones face, you have 2 seconds left to decide what to do. pushing occurs and now 1 second left. It comes down to natural reaction. Obviously for Nick Diaz and everyone in the Cesar Gracie camp, its back up your crew. I guarantee you, if someone rushed my brother, they'd get socked in the eye. Than we could decide what kind of punch it was and who it came from.
At that point, it had nothing to do with bitch moves, promoting fights, or looking for reasons to fight. Mayhem triggered that punch by stepping up to Gil. Doesn't mean it was the right reaction by the Cesar Gracie camp, but that is what happens. I 100% believe Dana White when he says that is why you have security and you don't these people in the cage after fights. Way to much testerone and adrenaline for people to think about being professional.
I do agree with on there is no professional reason for Diaz to fight Mayhem. But you know what, there is no confidence in Mayhem that he could win a fight against someone like Diaz under 185. Too much strength loss. So we could play this "he's being a bitch" finger pointing all day.
Also, in some cases there is a fine line in a sucker punch. the confrontation had already been made and someone's gonna get punched. It doesn't mean that you have to be looking the dude in the eye when you punch him.

Oh and Mayhem couldn't win under 185 against Diaz, but Diaz is the favored(slightly) to win at 185. IMO.
Don't get me wrong, I really like watching Mayhem fight, I think he is a beast and extremely talented. I even think he very close to breaking out into the highlight of his career soon.
These are just my thoughts on that occurrence.

I mean..don't get me wrong...you know dude...I'm just a fan...so this is just entertainment for me. This is your life. Not trying to tell you what happened..you know. I'm just coming from the outside looking in. I want to see the fight...well actually I want to see Daley vs. Diaz more than any other fight right now. It will be fun to see if Daley can handle my boy's left. If he beats Daley, I frankly don't see him being around strikeforce long enough for it to matter. That's when he needs to focus on calling out GSP...heck...if kosheck can get a fight on pure shit talking, Diaz definitely should.

I think Diaz could win the fight no matter what weight they did it at. I mean, I find mayhem hilarious and love his fighting. I am not delusional though and he has not beat anyone in strikeforce of note.
