i was experimenting with a few moves from jiu claw and i came across an unnamed move that dean lister demonstrates at the end of his seminar in the 1st volume of his real world grappling dvd. it's similar to a carni as you use your free leg to trap their far leg like a butterfly hook but on top of that, you have your legs triangled at the same time.
the resulting position allows you to crank their shoulder backwards like in a crucifix armbar by extending your free leg against your opponents knee. the pressure from this technique doesnt really come from the shoulder rotating at all but by cranking it backwards.
has anyone else come across the same technique? it seems to have some potential. you can apply pressure from the position very quickly once you establish it without even using your arms.
