    halfguard/ockdown X 1,000,000

if you arent flexible enough yet for the RG then this is your best bet. it will give you something to work on while you get your flexibility up.

Yeah, I would agree with many people on here. I know as someone never learned any 10th planet stuff from an actual school, the half guard techniques are easily to understand, VERY effective, and do not take alot of flexibility. I have a good friend that is a brown belt under Royce and when he comes in town he rarely compliments my rubber guard or twister work, but he is always telling me how hard it is for even him to pass my half guard and how good my sweeps are getting from there.

Halfguard all the way, and I'm really flexible....but such a good place to start as the others said...I've already had quite a few taps from the lockdown already and it puts such a smile on my face.... :-)

I first bought the Jiu Jitsu Unleased cause it was the most affordable. And it gave a very basic understanding of the top and bottom game. And like the books suggested, I started with the half guard game, lockdown and became very comfortable off my back. I went through that book every day then bought Mastering the Rubberguard and Twister after that.
