Chris I think its abit of a wierd subject, i have friends who take it and to them it is the best thing since sliced bread, i have also spoken to a long trem black belt who said its the best supliment anyone could ever take.

Reading up onit and listening to people, it is a realy good product. But its the whole is it cheating taking a supliment to improve your preformance thing.

I hear you Louis. I have heard that HGH even when you are a candidate from a physician is $1,000 / Month!

I take supplements, herbs, I eat clean most of the time, lift, exercise etc etc. These things have helped to increase my bodies production of testosterone which then increases HGH naturally.

I just don't want to sit back and deteriorate if there are proven options.

The BOTTOM LINE is that if you plan on competing IT IS cheating.
I was talking to some buddies about this the other day regarding Sonnen/Couture being on the stuff and it's like saying once you hit a certain age it's cool to start juicin...weak man, real weak.
On the other hand if it's just something you want to do for YOU...knock yourself out. WTFE

    Thanks Keith.

Why do you think it's a weird subject just because it is taboo? I figured that on this forum with the 10th Planet Family where almost every thread has SOMETHING taboo it would be a safe place to discuss it with intelligent people.

If I were fighting professionaly it may be considered cheating, but if I am approaching 40 and want to train longer with all the 20 - 30 year olds I really don't think it's cheating.

Just to clarify I am NOT referring to the levels and Anabolics that Body Builders use. I am referring to bringing levels back to what they were from age 18 - 25.

I am playing a bit of Devil's Advocate here Roofliss. I also beleive that there are a LOT more fighters doing this than just the obvious ones. They have it down to a science.

I ment it was a wierd subject by the fact im gona sit on the fence on this one, in all honesty i dont realy know wich way i would recomend you go.

And I understand that you are only considering it as way to preserve you ability and not to enhance it. Id love to know what effects it actually has on someone who does Jiu Jitsu. I know it will help with recovery but will it also help increase your felxability and other things like that?

What many of you don't understand is what its like to train HARD when you 35 years old and over (especially when you've been training hard for most of your life). I was invincible in my 20's as well. You have no fucking idea what its like when your training hard consistantly with multiple injuries when you start to age, I didn't believe it myself until is started happening to me a few years ago. It does catch up, your recovery time slows waaaaaay down, and everything fucking hurts. If modern science can come up with a way to help you recover like you did when you were in your 20's , yay fucking science!
