Kevin nailed it. Change is a hard pill to swallow.

One of my coaches imparted a bit of knowledge on me years ago that has shaped my life and how I developed as coach. Its about checking ones "premise". I took it as: I'm the one that has to look myself in the mirror every morning and be "okay" with who I am, and ask myself if I doing the best I can as a coach for my students? am I keeping up with all the new techniques and transitions that they may encounter? This is one of the reason I came to find 10th Planet, I was looking for stuff that my guys may potentially run in to. Then I fell in love with it, and realized the 10th Planet System checks its premise as well everyday. Its not afraid to evolve, its encouraged. Its alot of damn work, drilling and trying to master the core components of the system, the modifications and then all the new shits thats constantly being added. Its what makes the system so different, and people don't like different.

i thankfully go to a traditional school were the head instructor likes the system and one of his top students played the 10th planet system and traditional apparently he was really good at switching back and fourth but like the lower blue belt like hates it whenever an old student comes in hell make some comment say eddie bravo laugh all while hes pointing at me so i get a lil bit of both worlds

When they mock 10th planet, just use it and crush'em, then watch the excuses crumble. Killjitsu

Just got to jump on to say I've never felt any hate from any gym I've gone to. A lot of the haters out there come from the same place as all the fanboys, outside of the gym and on internet forums. Never have I trained with someone and had them say anything bad about 10th Planet. Then again there are certain gyms I will probably not drop in at for certain reputations.

Its easyer to hate than to learn, i suppose i the whole Eddie beating a Gracie didnt help.
