    those plates may end his career though. I had the same fracture after being jumped by four guys in a club, and the doc wanted to put three titanium plates in my head, but said my fighting would be over because another trauma to that area could be bad. I went three other surgeons and two of the three adviced against the plates if I was going to keep fighting. I didnt get them and I healed to look pretty normal.... well somewhat lol.

    Can anyone tell me what i'm looking at ? Is there missing bone to the right ? Are there 2 breaks ?

    you are looking at his left eye and yes there is a small wafer thin bone missing. its called an orbital blowout fracture. its the small bone that the eye floats on. he also had two fractures of his maxis bone (cheek) under his eye where the two plates are.

    Its his right eye. The bone is called the zygoma and is a significant portion of the lateral orbit. It is fused with other bones of the face (frontal and maxillary). These fusion points are fixed joints, sutures. Just like you have in your skull/pelvis. Lateral blows to the orbit can lead to fractures along these sutures which we are most likely seeing in the above photo.
