Official MMA Ranking System and Scoring System

Just throwing this out there and I apologize if this has been brought up before. Do you feel that MMA especially the UFC should have a legit ranking system according to a point system like in boxing? Honestly its starting to get out of hand for instance if Mark Hominick beats George Roop he gets a shot at Jose Aldo but what if George Roop beats Hominick does he get a shot at Aldo? I just think that the matchups most times is based on who can bring the money and not the actually matchup. Another fluke James Toney and Randy Couture. Dana said that Toney wouldn't leave him alone and so he finally gave him a shot. So All i have to do is "stalk Dana" after every UFC event and that will get me in yeah right, more likely arrested. Also what about a scoring system for the rounds actually based on MMA. How are boxing judges scoring MMA fights the same way as boxing. This should also be changed as well. They should get people who know MMA to judge fights like Eddie Bravo just to name a few. Its just my thoughts.......

Yes to scoring, maybe to ranking, no to matchmaking.

I could be way off in my opinions, but I feel like Silva and the UFC do pretty good w/ their matchmaking. Which makes sense, because they do their best to put together fights that people want to watch, which in turn brings in $$$. If they make wrong fights, the UFC stock plummets.

I never thought about that, but you're right. Eddie would make an amazing judge. He is like an MMA savant. Proly won't happen though. Conflict of interest. With guys like George Sotiropoulos, Sean Bollinger, and now Denny Prokopos fighting, Eddie will be busy cornering multiple champions for years to come.
