I will have a decent high ground fortress in the middle of the U.P. of Michigan. I am already pretty self sufficiant. Not many people, lots of natural resouces such as wood, game and Fresh water. I have about 2000 untouched wilderness in my back yard I will claim when all hell breaks loose. Not much for natural desaster around here and nothing up here worth bombing. If any 10th planet warriors can make it here, you are welcome. I figure we need about 100 people to start a new society, If your number 101 however, you might be turned into bear bait. My bro lives in Sydney and has pointed me towards the endless possibilities presented by Nimbin, New South Wales.

If the shit hits the fan, you are not going to want to be in any major city centers, and you are not going to want to be at an address where the new world order gestapo can knock on your door and usher you onto a FEMA bus "for your protection".

My plan is heading North into the wild bushland of Canada, and providing from nature, while all the rest of the continent starts ripping each other apart because the shelves are empty and their EBT card is getting declined. People are only a few meals away from becoming desperate, vicious animals, and when the shit goes down I will not be keeping my family in a position where they could be subject to a home invasion etc.

2012 is a non-issue because the people in power have already written a plan out to the year 2050, in the "Global 2000 report", which outlines depopulation agendas and all that. So the powers that be know that the world is not ending in 2012.
They will use the hysteria to incite panic and new control measure laws though, if they can.

Anyways, for anyone who is serious about preparing for the shtf, remember the basics: You need Oxygen, water, food, shelter. Anything beyond that is a creature comfort. My plans account for being able to provide all 4 of those things, for me and for my wife and kids.

The conversation is kind of unserious right? 30 pages and no plan. Couldn't read it all.

Whatever plan you have needs to be so dead simple that you can remember it and so dead simple that it can adapt to the entire infrastructure coming down and succumbing to chaos immediately. When Rome fell, people gradually started taking apart the aquaducts for spare stone. It's a metaphor man.

I would suggest starting with something simple: you need a backup communication plan between organized cells. Cells need a cell-lead. When the crap hits the fan, everybody takes their family to a cell rendezvous point and the cell concocts a tactical plan at the cell level to make contact with other cells and get information about what is going on in the world at large.

What about ham radio?

I hesitate to bind myself to a 10pjj clan because I have no sense of the higher ideals of the whole. If I join the 10pjj clan, I have a bad feeling I'd be raiding neighbors and taking their resources.

Also, I have this dreadful feeling that there would be maybe 10 people here who would be conversant on the subject of whether we're building a democracy or a constitutional republic.

The thing is we will never be able to agree on a single, big meeting for all of north america's tenth planet areas.

I live in texas, I would be willing to go as far as somewhere like michigan but canada is just too far.

Only reasonable solution would be to have a couple different camp grounds
