The main thing is that you can not regard Scott's comment as disrespectful as it is not. You may disregard my comment as I am only a blue belt. I'm proud to be a blue belt in the system, but I'm no black belt. Eddie Bravo and Scott Epstein however are. Their comments were in no way meant to be disrespectful. In fact, Scott's first comment is completely warranted and completely right. You may not care about belts but a lot of people do.
The disrespect started when you decided to slate Eddie's process on grading. Why are you right and he is wrong? Are you a 2nd Degree BJJ black belt? I think that in slamming his ability to correctly award belts is the highest of disrespect and you should be saying that last sentence to Eddie and Scott.
It doesn't matter if I forgive you or not, who am I, anyway?
I didnt slate Eddie for anything, i raised a concern as to some peoples financial ability to make the what he is requiring. if one cant save up the money for whatever reason to make the trip to La, is it not perceivable that they cant enter every tournament that comes around at 50 to 100 dollars a pop? All I am saying is that when you put undue financial burdens on people with the hopes of prospering, then expect everyone not to live up to your expectations, and that would be an awful reason for someone to be held back. It was my opinion based off of some very real conversations with people. And has I have been in contact with Scott and he has assured me that he meant no disrespect, then I'm good with that, but like I told him, in watching a video about his bb award, Eddie stated that his hold up be able to pull lotus, and when he did it, he got his black. That is a lot different than saying that because you a poor or that your money is fucked up at the moment, sorry, your shit out of luck. With scott his challenge was a physical deficiency that Eddie knew he could overcome, thats a little different then asking someone to change their financial situation or too bad. And my point to you about doing all I can do was in that same line. due to things out of control in my personal life, I have had to set some things off till such time that I can afford them. That doesnt mean that i dont still want to and have the desire to do them, I just cant, and unless the tpjj gods are handing out grants so that I may continue my training, those things are going to have to get done when I can. But I'm not an affiliate that has been paying my dues to Eddie to represent him, so mine is a little less important if you know what I mean.
As for apologies, I ve stated over and over that it was never my intentions to disrespect anyone but you as I admitted only to make you understand my frustration as being discounted. And I have explained myself to you for that and assure you that was all that was ans was not meant on a serious note. You have put in your time and your opinion does mean something...
