I a black belt in what is the question. Maybe there is a new category instructors are recognizing. Grappling for mma. Or maybe just grappling period. Like, if you have reached a level of any particular style that makes you competitive at the highest level of grappling and are on tv alot and just won by using grappling on a main card in a ppv then... I'm just thinkin outloud.

I am not disputing that he is probably a good maybe great grappler, probably has a lot to teach people, which is why he is starting his own belting system for his grappling system, but why...why why why give Randy his black belt after a win in the UFC when no one knows what the hell your doing and not really who you are?

He should have kept this to the locker room or back at XtremeCouture.

Well since he doesn't train with the gi, it can't be Judo, and there are specific requirnments for the national governing bodies for Judo.

I'm not saying the guy does or doesn't have legit grappling skills. But I agree completely with you Daniel, it was a total marketing ploy that cheapend a win for Randy.

Seems like he just thought Randy deserves a belt. Randy has beat black belts and is an amazing grappler.
