I am happy to report that my wife and I started Jiu Jitsu together. We had a fantastic marriage before hand, and it has actually served to strengthen our relationship.
Recreational Companionship is an important concept for you guys that are in relationships. Study it.
I know I sound like a complete dork to most of you guys (and I am a complete dork, by the way), but I live the happiest life a man could possibly lead. I can attribute most of that happiness to the fact that my wife and I both value our marriage and our family above anything else.
Jiu Jitsu won't ruin a relationship. Bad foundations will always ruin a relationship.
However, I do agree in part with what Denny said. You prob shouldn't date people from the gym. That will likely end poorly. Lindsey and I began Jiu Jitsu together after our relationship was already very established and strong.
