Can i get a liitle advice please...

    hi everyone.

i just wanted to ask for some advice regarding an issue i have with a UFC/ESPN photographer....

i want to take this to the UG but i thought id ask here first.

As a fan of everything mma, i came across a message on fb, which i thought i could help with. Here it is...

    Okay, here's the deal.
UFC 122 kicks off in less than three weeks time; as is always the case in covering these shows, there are a lot of out-of-pocket expenses I have to bear in terms of travel, hotels, getting around town and so on.
Now normally I temporarily cover these costs from the last event that I shot, though it takes between 4-6 weeks for that money to roll in. With UFC 120 happening just this past weekend, the earliest I'd be paid would be November 16.
I'm set to fly out to Germany on November 9, so you can see the problem here
So: I'm looking for individual 'sponsors' to help me out, but with a twist - you're actually going to receive a tangible "thank you" in return for your sponsorship!
Everyone whom sponsors me to the tune of £5 / $8 will get a gift of an 8x10" print of their choice from my image library.
Sponsor me to the tune of £10 / $16 and you'll get to pick three of your favourite shots instead of one as your "thank-you" gift. I'll print and post them at the end of November, sending them anywhere in the world you like.
If you're interested, simply drop a line to BLANK and I'll go over the details with you; I know that a lot of you have been big fans of my photography over the past three years so any and all help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!!

i thought id help out to the sum of £20. Not a big deal, but a good gesture all the same. Then id get a few pics in return to give out as christmas presents.....

well you can guess what happened...... no pics.

I have emailed him a few times now, only a few mind, i havent even pushed it out of embarrassment.

    Should i play war?

sorry i forgot to add i had replies which blamed first of all the post office, saying "everyone" didnt get their pics and he wished he had sent them recorded, then he had a house move so didnt have time to sort it... now no reply.

its my own fault for being to trusting, i don care about the £20 its the principle

Principles,Morals etc etc something you should stand by and I totally agree with you I would definitely not let this lay either Sam, he has had YOUR money and now you would like him to uphold his half of the deal and send you YOUR photo(s)

Well think about it. What if he did the same with 10 people? or even more that dude would have made over 200 pounds easy. Asking for small amounts of money is the way to do it if you wanna scam people!
At the end of the day like you said you don't really give a shit "it's only 20 pounds" and I bet other people would think exactly the same and let it go. The dude would have made some sweet money by just sending emails lol

Reminds me those African guys scamming people via emails lol You can't trust random dudes on the interweb mostly when the first thing they ask from you is money
