What I don't like is that he didn't take the time to really look into the truck and the calf crank. The way Eddie has been teaching the calf crank was/is to push on the heel with your free leg not to triangle your legs which would obviously keep you away from being calf cranked. Not to mention how shitty the guy is controlling Primola's legs in the first place.
I got nothing against the dude it just annoys me to see sloppy setups being sold has what "the 10th planet guys are doing and that's how you defend it" type of videos

Erik Paulson did the same with the lockdown a while back with the guy on the bottom who had no double unders.

Get the proper setups then come up with something and then I'd be fine with whatever they have to offer that's all

It seems every Black Belt in BJJ and every submission wrestler is spending WAY too much time perfecting their counters to 10th Planet rather than honing their individual skills. We can take this with a grain of salt: like anyone who only takes a cursory look at something (music, martial arts, for example) and don't really dedicate themselves to truly learning it, they lack fundamental understanding. Obviously, our people and style concern people, or there wouldn't be some many trying to develop counters. And yes, a lot is suspect when the partner or technique from 10th Planet isn't being executed correctly. No different from Josh Barnett (a great grappler) doing his "snapping the rubber guard" when his uke is doing about 2% of what the rubber guard is. Again, face value stuff. Take it with a grain of salt.

At 30 seconds i think where dude grabs the guy in the trucks foot and sort of turns it against him....hey that works. The guys at my gym use that shit on me when i first started pulling them in the truck. they pulled down on my foot while i was calf cranking them and it was alot of pressure on my foot. However i started changing my calf crank to the version where you pull down on dudes foot and take your other foot and push up against your on foot so dude can't grab it. Damn i have horrible grammar.

Don, I am glad you figured out the correct way to perform the tech! As for Ken he harrassed me a good part of the day yesterday...
He put up a post saying that Nick Diaz had won 15 of his last 16 fights and avenged the one loss, so you have to give him the props he deserves. Then someone posts, Hey, I thought you were against weed smokers like Nick and eddie. To which he replied, Nick doesn't promote it like Eddie does, and he is in better shape than most people who don't smoke. Then another guy posts, The martial arts community would shit a brick shithouse if they knew how many of the top guys blaze. That's when I saw the posts and added; "Yes they would. I would think it safe to say about 95% of the top fighters in MMA and BJJ." Then Ken started spouting, Frankie Edgar-no, GSP- no, maybe once in a while, not a regular user, Anderson- same as GSP. Then I told him we weren't here to name names and throw people under the bus, but it was personal knowledge and not a guess He then informed me he didn't like me and defriended me so as to end the debate. Then I see this posting, laugh and left some constructive criticism, telling him his videos make him look bad (white belt) and he should actually open his mind and learn the system before trying to dismantle it. He asked me what I had done in my community??? He is a BB under Phil Miglareis. And what had I won, He is a Pan Am Champ!!! What did he do wrong, cause he did it the exact way he had seen Eddie and Ari Bolden doing it. What am I doing wrong? To which I responded, Phil Is a hellu guy, and I know your a BB so I know you understand you can't learn from video the same as learning it from the instructor. I am an Attorney and when people look up my name that is what they would see so I had to back down. I told him he posted that shit on Facebook...Under his full name. It's hard to get a more public forum than Facebook. I laughed and asked him if he still wanted to fight Kevin and he claimed he offered for Kevin to come up to his school but Kevin never showed, so that was that. Then he says how about you and I?
