Silva vs gsp?

personally im sick and tired of hearing that gsp would beat silva. where does he hold the advantage?? SILVA WOULD MOP THE FLOOR WITH GSP EASILY. Better striker, better ground game, and is capable of finishing fights. i would like to hear some opinions on said matchup?

im not so sure... if he could get the takedowns on him (which I think is quite possible) then I think he could beat him up like Sonnen did... and we know GSP will have a much better submission defense than Sonnen.

I think Silva would beat GSP. He's way bigger, a better striker and I don't GSP would be able to take him down.

Henderson had been rocked with a knee and gave up his back/neck. Lutter destroyed himself trying to make weight and gassed a few minutes into the fight. He was still able to take Anderson down and MOUNT him. The Sonnen sub was a gift.

If GSP puts Anderson on his back, which he can. He will win.

I dont think gsp can take him down and keep him down for 25 mins. Silva will have size, reach,strength exp at middle weight, on his side. Hes goin to be very hard to beat. Anderson is going to connect with his chin a number of times. I just hope gsp can take it which I doubt.

If GSP can take Silva down he would probably have a very good shot at winning a decision, if not he would likely get destroyed on the feet. I think it could be a competitive fight and it is a fight that a lot of fans want to see. The winner would probably be the undisputed p4p king for now. If Silva wins that fight, I think he should go up to 205, as there would be nothing left for him to accomplish at middleweight, and I can think of a lot of good fights for him at 205. Also, keep in mind GSP has to get by Jake Shields to make this happen.

silva is huge in comparison to GSP. i think the weight will play a role if they actually fight. that having been said, i think a lot of guys cut too much weight and trade off tons of stamina for it. i would love to see what GSP is capable of doing when he isn't dropping much weight.

I think if these two go at it.. GSP will dominate up until he gets knocked out. Just because i dont see GSP having any problems getting anderson on the ground and having his way with him.. BUT.. i dont how well he can finish him. So if he's able to keep getting him down each round without getting caught.. then he's got the fight in the bag. Though I think with anderson.. thats VERY hard to do for 25 minutes.. eventually.. he's going to land something. and when he does its going to have knockout potential. So i'd say GSP will dominate maybe 3 rounds.. but eventually will get caught. (if they fight)
