    Penn vs Fitch

BJ Penn has been training with Matt Hughes in preparation for his bout against Jon Fitch. Interesting. Guess it's water under the bridge. So....who wins this one?

I don't think BJ and Matt really ever hated each other, it was more just a rivalry based on how great their fights were together. BJ said after his first win over Matt that he was one of his idols, and it was clear the two of them had great respect for one another leading up to their rubber match.

BJ was also in Vegas training boxing with Floyd Mayweather, Sr., and jiu-jitsu with seventh degree red & black belt Sergio Penha, so he's definitely putting in SERIOUS work for this fight against Fitch.

I'm probably bias because BJ is my favorite fighter, but I have to say that BJ sounds like he's as prepared as he can possibly be for this fight coming up. Rob Garcia, his strength and conditioning/boxing coach, worked with Oscar De La Hoya for the better part of a decade, so he should be in god shape (figuratively and literally) there as well. Fitch is no joke, don't get me wrong, but as far as jiu jitsu and stand up, I don't see Fitch having an advantage over BJ in either. It's also clear that BJ is focusing on what he can do on the ground from a wrestling/ground and pound standpoint by bringing in Hughes, so he seems like he'll be very prepared.

BJ via submission in Round 2

I hope he puts the reps in and improves his crack head control.

fitch has some sick jits, i dont see him losing via submission unless he gets careless. Fitch is a great fighter and im calling Uni Des Fitch (split loss if the Judges are as bad i'm afraid)

That being said, BJ might come out swinging and surprise him. I'm really excited to see what the gameplans they both have in store. I really hope BJ takes it to fitch though. I'm expecting a great fight I dont really care who wins

Bjs jj is better than fitches. But fich makes up with his wrestling. The only way fitch wins is by grinding away in bjs guard for a decision. Bj has a number of ways to win

He posted numerous videos with Hughes on his website. It was funny actually, when he went to pick Hughes up from his hotel, they were blasting Hughes' entrance music as he walked up, and he was just smiling. Both guys have a great deal of respect for each other and Hughes sounds like it was great training in Hawaii with BJ.
