i go for the arm triangle from the bottom to sweep or when i'm trying to pass on top. i just like the control it gives but low % finish until position changes.

I remember Eddie saying in his DVD that arm triangle from stoner control is a great choke.

Remember that Eddie used that move to choke out some Japanese fighter? It's on his DVD. Also, Einstein shows that move in the All Stars DVD.

You just gotta put in time to develop your squeeze. I'm not saying mine is death, but I've worked at it , and I tap guys from to time even when they're defending. Like Eddie says in the latest MTS episode (18) You need to squeeze 100% every chance you get at a rep, or you just wasted your time.

do you think you could get a better chance to finish the bottom arm triangle with full guard and the same side foot in the hip instead?

If i ever end up in guard w/ the arm triangle and have trouble finishing, i slide off to one side, bringing my forearm down on their artery instead of the back of their neck so all the pressure is there, shift my hips so that my dick is pointing into their side, and finish.

Once i get there its pretty much 100%...much stronger than the same choke with your hips lined up with theirs...get to the angle, attack the artery, and kill.

angle. it seems to always come back to that.

i don't like to finish the arm triangle from the bottom against a guy who is bigger and stronger than me. i might catch him, i might not. i much prefer to use the hold to switch to a more dominant position. if i can get on top while i still have him locked in, now i'm looking to finish.

against a guy my size or smaller, i might go for the kill from the bottom.

I'll have to show you the finish i'm talking about, it doesn't matter who it is (size, strength, bo staff skills), its very high %.
