    When People do that damn Twister Pass

    Hey all. Lets cut straight to the good ole porkchops and gravy with biscuits on the side. Damn it I can force Lockdown on anybody (okay were talking about blue and purple belt guys) i mean i dont wanna force lockdown because i can't do shit. But hey. alot of these guys go into that twister pass kinda position. i get stalled from there. they are pushing on my leg and im really having to squeeze that damn lockdown to keep it intact. What can a motherfer do from here. I usually abandon lockdown and try to get a knee in and just shrimp out and start over. i hate that.

    ALSO whenever i be getting a under hook with my left arm those guys be trapping it and eventually kimuring it. hell took one guy about 8 minutes to finally finish me off but shit. im tired of doing what im supposed to (like getting a godamn under hook and trying to get to dogfight) and getting kimured . i have skinny wrist and once a guy grips me and pushes it to the mat i am FUCKED. lol just gotta keep training i guess. sorry for the cussing. u know whats up.

    Maybe work on upper body control? Some kinda clinch to not let them turn twister pass.

    That twister pass from half guard is a bear...especially against bigger guys to know how to do it correctly. I try to not let them even get there in the first place. Keep your head low and in their crotch...stay on your side (hip glued to the ground) and connect your hands when you have the double unders (this will also give you some defense against the kimora.) If i have it right my hands will be connected, not on their back but on the side of their torso (the side im not playing half guard on). A little thing i like to do once i get here is take my bottom arm elbow and wedge it inside their leg. This helps prevent them from turning that hip over and and getting to the twister pass. As far as a full proof defense or pass once they get into the twister pass i dont have one...especially against bigger guys. Ill leave that to the rest of the guys to help you there....
