And yet you still train. We really do love our sport regardless of the pain don't we?
I got a hairline fracture in my rib 5 days into my MMA/JJ training and was 100% out of commission for almost 4 weeks. I couldn't get out of bed normally because getting out of bed requires a "situp" type movement and it hurt wayyy too much. But that's how much you and I love our sport. I've had multiple medical opinions saying that I shouldn't be doing MMA at all. I'd rather off myself than play badminton or w/e else other than MMA/JJ. I'm not going to extend my recovery time longer than what it already is though so I just gotta train top game only stuff and no rolling =(. I literally dream and daydream about sweeps/passes/submissions. I'm glad your ankle/calf is better. What may have happened if your lower back is hurting is that your spine may be misaligned from the uneven weight distribution you've been walking/training on. Also your muscles on the weaker side may have atrophied causing further imbalance in your weight distribution. Are you doing any core strengthening exercises and/or plyometrics?
