    Critique my roll? :(

So I finally got this footage imported from a grapple tournament back in December. I would love everybodies' criticism here as to where I went wrong. I won't even make excuses or explanations, I want your most critical opinion you can throw, it seems to be the best way for me to learn.

This was a single elimination tournament with a weight bracket of 145 - 160. I was forunate enough to get to grapple Steve Adkins, a very athletic 145lb mma fighter from the area. Watch as my squishy 158lb frame gets man handled by this dude

It gets confusing at the end of the clip but basically, time ran out on the 1st round and the judges ruled it a draw. We went to overtime and Adkins secured a pin to win the match (sudden death rules).

    Thanks for your input.

at 1:13 when you had him in mission control/chill dog, when you felt him getting to his feet you should have kept your leg pressed on his hip with your knees squeezed tightly together, would have kept him from posturing up and out. Pretty smooth transitions to the dog fight a few times.

AJ, not bad brotha, you did alot of good things and you could tell you have been puttin in reps in the System. Couple of things:

-You never really broke his posture down completely prior to playing Rubber Guard, hence why he was able to blast out (don't give him to space to actually use his strength to posture).
-Don't wrap the head when attempting to pass half guard, under hook the same side that the leg is trapped, you had success coming to dog fight because he was wrapping his arm around your head while in half guard, don't give your opponent the same opportunities
    - The flying Kung fu was nice, but he was able to escape the omaplata (could have been a gogo attempt as well) because you didn't break his posture by stretching the legs in Jiu Claw.

No. It's club rehab in Sedalia. Kind of a weird place, the back area was our "locker room" and this sketchy slack jawed family kept walking through to play pool while we were all getting dressed. An entire family, kids and all smoking and playing pool in a bar while I'm putting on my cup a few feet away.

thanks for complimenting the stache, it thanks you.

@ Chris & Jarrad, thanks fro the breakdown. I really appreciate it. Looking at the footage within the context of your comments I realize how low my hips were and how my attacking position was less than ideal. Though I can still work from an inferior position it clearly has it's problems (and explains why I threw out my back that night).

I think I'll be drilling hard posture breaks from the omoplata no matter if they stack or not. Clearly that was the issue here (thanks Chris) since that posture break also helps to upright yourself to either finish or hit the gogo. Looking back, I think I was drilling my omoplatas from far too many ideal scenarios where you can just pivot into the finish. But the real world doesn't work that way..

Thanks again, all of you, for your time. All of your input as been priceless.
