so they put him on a tv show that glorifies him being an alcoholic and a playboy, but when he actually goes out and does it it's suddenly a horrible thing to do? Isn't that hypocritical of them? And why the hell are they giving him all this attention for being such a fuckup? Shouldn't the dude be in rehab or something? didn't his kids just get taken away?

Why is the media just cashing in on his fucked up situation instead of trying to help the guy?

I agree, the funny part also, is I think the public reaction is different than many expected (he is getting more people that like him from what I hear/see among folks I know) but hell, he is basically the character he was on the show (and the show was insanely popular) so pundits act surprised the guy's antics are popular with the public.

It's hilarious how the media is trying to vilify him but the public is too smart for that. He's clearly fucking awesome. Whether it's an act or not, bottom line is it's funny as fuck and that's why everyone is digging it.

I dont know that the public is too smart for it. I just think its more the pundits think they are smarter than they are. His show was alot of toilet humor and low brow jokes (my wife calls it "man humor", and I like it) and was insanely popular, and now that its out that Sheen is even more over the top than his character and folks like him......is mind bottling to the news/tv folks.
