Home From School Today, Hurt My Back BAD Last NIght. This Sucks Big Time !!!!

Just got home from Dr., He moved a bunch of stuff around in my hips and back. More sore now than I was. Said I pinched a nerve and have muscle spasms now. I have to ice non-stop and take it easy. He's not sure for how long. This blows !!!!!

Couldn't happen at worse time....... I have a Marcelo Garcia seminar this weekend, New York State Submission Championships I have to get ready for. As well As getting ready to compete in Pankration tournament in Vages. I can't aford to be hurt.

Sucky part, didn't even do it at class. I was walking upstairs to go to bed last night. Dr. said it was time bomb waiting to happen. Busted up ankle bad few years ago. He said I walk with slight limb and that loads up my hip ......until it blew my back out and pinched a nerve.

Can't tell you how bad I'm bumming right now.... Lets hope I heal FAST.

Too young for all that crap, take it ez young warrior. You only get 1 body, can't go overboard with how much havoc we wreak upon it. I popped my rib last week and best believe I'm not doing a goddamn thing for awhile, lol. I've popped and cracked a rib (2 seperate times) on my other side before, so I have the experience to know that it's full-on recovery time. My back froze up on me 2 weeks ago as well; I was doing alot of heat since it was tight, not swollen and pressure massaging every chance I got. 4 days later I roll all night at HQ and my back is insta-cured. I think the mats at Legends have healing properties

Compella, My dad said the same thing. He says I go after it to hard and I have to make this body last. I know it bothers him worse because back and neck injuries ended his fighting carear when he was like 30. I now he does not want the same for me.

I told him, come on dad, I was walking upstairs. He said do you think it was the stairs, or that you throw down with men and go balls to the wall ALL the time. He told me just because I can beat alot of the adults, I have to remember I'm doing it with a 12 year olds body. He said its still growing and getting stronger, it doesn't like all the abuse I'm giving it.

So I hope I heal fast and maybe back off a little. At leat when it comes to throwing down with the adult class. Like dad says, I don't have anything to prove to any of them. So I should chill a little.

Compella is right man, you are young, take it easy. I cant say I follow the same advice, I always roll to win, and well, as a result sometimes I get injured, but its really best to just take it easy most of the time. Either way bro, keep your head up. Youll be back to 100% before too long and tearin it up!

I recommend rationing out your rolls with bigger dudes. I used to enjoy keeping up with the 205+ guys but my body can only take so much.

Hope you get to feeling better soon Conner. Your a beast! Sometimes its out bodies way of telling us to take it easy. I know its a bummer to be out for a bit, but the good news is you are young. You have ample time and opportunities to train and compete.

i know how you feel bro i've done a rotator cuff in my right shoulder and for the last 5 weeks it has given me nothing but grief just take the time off do rehab it the best you can and you will be back in no time bro all the best
