I hope this just removes the many roadblocks that the UFC places in front of them ie; counter programming/promoting. This alone would be huge! I would be lying if I said this didn't worry me about the future direction/destiny of StrikeForce in general. I am waiting to hear Micheal Afromowitz's position before I will really know...

I didn't follow the WEC purchase, but didn't UFC own WEC for quite a while before they 'merged'?

They purched the WEC back in 06. This will be the same type of situation, I think. Where they eventually merge after most of the fighters contract obligations have been fulfilled.

I give it a year at MOST before they start to merge the 2 under one heading.

I say 2 years, because apparently that is when the contract with Shotime will expire (and then the fighters remaining will simply be rolled into the UFC).
