i agree that the reffing in jiu jitsu (and mma, as well) is horrid in every regard.

this thread was in response to the thread detailing einstein's robbery at ADCC Trials. in my eye, both of those were blatant biases against one of our fighters. i know other people get robbed by the refs all the time, too.

So, by saying it happens to everyone else too.. You're just saying you're frustrated these 2 guys were on the wrong side of shitty officiating, but admitting it has nothing to do with 10th planet? I agree. It does suck. I've had it go both ways for me.

i was at a tournament recently and while waiting for my division i observed Refs NOT PAYING ATTENTION to thier bouts they would look over at their fellow gym-mates that were competing and shout out instructions to them ,i dont believe they should ref and coach at the same time , it was poor taste.

I've seen so many refs fucking around it's not even funny. Guys going for take downs and landing on concrete floors because the ref was too busy looking at the other match. Last year someone got his arm broken because the ref was too busy talking with someone to jump in while the guy kept on cranking an arm bar...
Add a bit of bias calls and/or not knowing what's really going on and you've got some shit calls.
One way to win all your matches is to sub your opponents

As in any combat sport. Leave it out of the judges/Refs hands and sub the guy. There have been many occasions where the audience judges the competition better than the officials. Take your opponent out! Train to learn, fight to WIN!
