*Sigh* This argument is brought up all the time and I cant keep away from a keyboard whenever I see it. Louis in in 100% agreement with you. I think Krav Maga practicioners and instructors thrive of the mystique of the word "Special Forces". Ive done my share of deployments and can say from first hand experience that military systems are designed to quickly teach the average joe how to defend himself quickly. So as far as that goal is concerned, they succeed in spades, but MMA practicioners and traditional martial art practioners all teach their techniques to a far greater detail and to a higher level of effectiveness than MCMAP, Army Combatives, Krav Maga, e.c.t. Also the aforementioned systems include elements that are onloy applicable to being a soldier, operative, marine, cop, e.c.t. Bayonet techniques, how to stab people, how to stab people with body armor on, arresting techniuqes. The civilian will never in their life profit from learning such things (unless the zombie apocalypse comes)
