    i think it's for added protection... unfortunately i am seeing more and more ammy events starting to pad these folks up. i hope when the athletic commission takes things over here in alabama they don't follow suit.

    i remember several years ago it seemed like a lot of the ammy events had the same rules as the pros with the exception of shorter time limits during and between rounds... hell, you could even elbow a ground opponent

    The amateur fights at the casinos don't use them but we have to win a couple Fl fights before we can "move up". Even though there's way more bums fighting there. It will take a little off your kick but it's not an extremely padded shin guard so will still hurt plus you got the 7oz gloves.

    Yeah, for the record this is what I call 'Deer in headlights striking'. I walk out stiff as fuck and destroy his left hand with my right temple. This is a valid guard pulling tech right?

    Anyway, ive addressed it and thursday Im gonna try and throw a punch and maybe move a lil.

    The shin guards really only hinder go-gos grappling wise. They make it near impossible to get out of rg and lockdown so im gonna keep the '3rd option' open.
