I think you are mistaken if you think Diaz has a bad standup game. Noon's has amazing hands, 155 or 170 does not matter. He almost killed Jorge Gurgel with a hook one time and Diaz stood toe to toe with him and won the fight in the end. I don't see Daley dominating a stand up fight, as I said earlier I can only see him catching Diaz with the left hook thats about it. I think more than likely the fight will go to the ground and Daley will get exposed again anyways...

He rarely is in a fight with anyone who can actually hurt him and takes way too many shots. He swings with his arms, has no stance and doesn't even guard. This is why pumped up 155'ers like noons can survive in there and why nick can't finish guys off.

I think if Nick fights a smart fight he wins convincingly. Does enough stand up to keep him honest, do a takedown and get him on the ground. If he tries to prove he can bang with a guy like daley who actually has power at 170 he is going to get killed.

Now don't get me wrong...in strikeforce that terrible crap diaz calls striking is effective on guys he is much bigger framed than. I just can't stop giggling when diaz fans talk about his "elite striking". Sorry I will shoot that shit down everytime someone says it. The dude has about as much stand up as jake shields...which is none. Standing around waiting for cyborg to gas and then swinging wildly with know step or turn in your punches IS NOT striking.

We will see. I know he is effective on his feet...and I'm sure I'm just being a big snob....hey..this is the reason why boxers don't respect MMA guys standing up. You look at no one turning or stepping into their punches, no one punching straight...and then you hear frank shamrock or joe rogan talking about these guys have amazing stand up and you start giggling.

Well, you could say that it is all relative. I am sure Joe is comparing the stand-up game among mixed martial artists, not elite level boxers.
