Theres a video. Things move way faster in mma than bjj. Shoulda had way more control on that first takedown but he grapped a kimura so i got swept. Tried to take his back but he stood up. Once I got the overhook in the clinch I was kinda like fuck it and pulled guard. Pretty sure that's an east coast croc or damn close. Either way, enjoy.

How'd it feel to step in the cage for your 1st MMA fight?

I was pretty nervous but kept going back to the thought that I've put in too much work to get beat easily. Getting hit in the face is hard to get use to but it boils down to if you fight, your GOING to get hit. Just get hit, move forward, dont flinch and things work out for the best. The worst is the 2 hours leading up to the fight where all the fighters are standing around looking at each other. I was honestly ready to just get it over with by the time it was my turn. This venue had a really long walkout and in that time the adrenaline that built up was honestly comparable to being on ecstasy. THIS SHIT IS AWESOME and I cannot wait to do it again. The only bad thing is the hotel managers bitched to the promoters about us smoking down in the room and we may very well be banned from fighting in this promotion again. Their loss.

Yeah, the weight cut went reeeally bad and I couldnt move without lockin up. So we said fuck it and smoked in the room that they paid for. After we could think straight we realized how poor our decision making was. We like to build, not burn bridges. No pun intended.

Thank you guys, it really means a lot. That armbar is a direct result of Bobbys teaching, only I missed a couple details "sorry". The plan is just to keep progressing my game, I roll with a really good group of guys that are bigger than me so I've never felt outmatched in competition where I weighed the same as the other person. Were gonna be training striking a ton over the next couple of months and then I'll probably take another fight, possibly in Florida or the casinos in Biloxi Ms. I'll definitely keep ya posted.
