I teach a BJJ class where I train a couple mornings a week. This week on monday I went into class and asked the guys how they liked that sweet twister saturday night. They all said that was cool and one of them said dont you use that move. I said yes and one of the other guys asked if I would teach it to them. I told them I had to leave early that day so I only planed on rolling but I told them I would teach them the twister on wednesday morning. Now I usually have maybe 6 or 8 guys in the morning class but I showed up wednesday morning and we had about 20 guys there. I walked in and asked what was going on, why are we so busy and one guy said "we are all here to learn the twister"

Haha. Very cool! It's great for 10th Planet and Eddie to get so much exposure, but it sucks because now everybody KNOWS!

I'm not worried, huge diffrence between "knowing" and actual "application". Alot of people know what our game is, doesn't mean they can stop it

I wouldn't worry. Most people are going to just copy Zombie's fight and blow the setup allowing for people in the know to easily escape it. Originally Posted by Jon Helton

Walked into the 10th Planet JJ class after UFC seeing twice as much students as usual...
"Apparently some guys watched the UFC" I stated.
Our little twister master Tobias was in class, too. So I let him demonstrate the chevy.
More Twisters and well executed Rubber Guard in the UFC please!

I've been asked to teach "The Twister" as well. Like coach says, knowing and applying are diff. There's a reason we don't see a lot of them. People will try it once or twice, they'll fail, and it will stay in our tool box. Great exposure but don't worry guys.
