Let me preface this by saying that if Nick fights his fight...uses striking to try for takedowns and tries to submit daley...he will wear him out and get a submission in the 4th.
However, I think there is no chance of that. I think Nick "I ain't no bitch" Diaz will try to swing with Daley an be brutally KO'd in the 2nd round.
Noob Analysis -- Everyone talks about nick's stand up...this is where I start laughing...Nick Diaz striking is why boxers laugh at mma guys on their feet. No head movement, arm swinging, no defense. Nick takes a lot of shots to the head and has pillow fists because of the arm punching. The other issue is that Nick is great on the ground but he struggles on the takedown front. Sure...Daley sucks on the ground but he has decent takedown defense and defending how close Diaz is to get into shoot for the leg...he might have problems.
Daley is a one trick pony...but his one trick is where Diaz has a weakness. Nick takes a lot of punches, people who take a lot of punches from daley end up unconscious.
