He was throwing rights and lefts right down the pipe and they were hurting.
I was stoked for Aoki and Japan, that was sick! When Aoki is on he is on!

Do you guys think it was one of the body shots that dropped him, just with a delayed response? Liver shots can take 3 to 6 sec to really get you sometimes.

right hook to the temple....equilibrium gone....he thought up was down and down was up....the liver shots...DID NOT help. Daley said he got rocked early and was on instinct. Nick shooting straight when he hooked really surprised him I think. Also the body shots when he was trying to knee. Never seen a dudes ribs brutalized that bad in an mma fight so who knows?

This is something all fighters need to start working on!! More body shots!! Switching it up was the key for Nick to win that fight!

I believe you have to be a superior striker, to have the confidense to drop your hands for the body shots... You leave yourself VERY exposed for a counter hook/cross/jab/uppercut, pretty much anything. Body shots are a skill set all their own

I agree. I didn't get why all my coach friends were scolding me about not respecting nick as a stand up guy. I realize now that Nick was screwing with us on the skills...well that and I don't nearly know as much about boxing as I think I do. Those body shots were old school. It was obvious that he scouted daley very well..shoot straight when daley goes hook crazy..punish the body on the cage and the clinch. His striking skills are superior
