Hmm...Ali's case for conscientious objector status went to the supreme court. He talked shit about his opponents...but that's not what I'm talking about. Ali was a devout muslim and leads an upstanding life of charity and tolerance. To try to compare Nick Diaz with Ali is frankly a serious reach. Ali never threatened or ensenuated that he was going to slap a reporter because he didn't like a question. Nick is acting the WANGSTA stereotype of those from central california...and the kids look up to him..but not for his hard work...for his "fuck everybody" attitude that he portrays. When he stands in front of a camera spouting a bunch of crap and threatening reporters, pushes cameras at fighters after he has won, puts his hands in the face when the doctor is observing them....that's the whole "don't fuck with the 209" attitude. From any of that...where do we get he is a high level gracie black-belt, who runs triathalons and is a 3 tooled mma guy. He even bills his school by saying come to my school and learn how to beat people up. RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT.....

Karo Parisyan debuted the same night and I was thinking wow the UFC just picked up two bad asses in the welter weight div. Now I have two questions. I dont hate Nick Diaz. Im simply not a fan of his attitude. And I think this might be why, but who knows. Its the same reason I dont like Lesnar, he is an ass. They are both good fighters in their own right, but it doesnt mean I HATE them. I doubt Im being ignorant because Im turned off by someones attitude. Its just personal preference, and I dont really click well with how he acts. As far as saying anything about his personal life, I cant, or wont, because I dont know the guy. One plus I see is that he is very very loyal and respectful about his teammates, which most professional athletes in other sports cant even begin to understand.

He doesn't like talking! They make him do interviews, then they edit or replay the outspoken parts to give the whole fuckin thing a bad context. He leads by example by workin his ass off, and when he's not doin that he trains and competes in friggin triathlons. Then im guessin he hits the couch tired, broke down, and beat up as fuck just to get up and do it all again the next day. Then he might chief a lil' to wind down after pushing his body and mind farther then most could fathom. It should be a non-issue.

I wish all these lil wangstas you speak of would truly act like Nick. Hell it wouldnt hurt most of us to..
