Is UFC the only legit MMA league?

This is something I've been wondering about for quite a while. UFC is for sure the biggest MMA promotion and fighters who become champions are the best in the world. But some fighters ,that have amazing records, but have never been in the UFC and are still considerd P4P best. So the question is : If a fighter has an amazing record but never becomes a UFC champion does that make them not a LEGIT champion?

I am in the group of people who thinks not in UFC=not qualified for a top the 10 list

What do you guys think?

Not in the UFC= not top 10... not fair to say. Cesar Gracie's camp has great fighters in Strikeforce that sure could be ranked top 10 in their division. But i guess a true UFC champion like GSP, Anderson Silva or a Jon Jones who has smashed all their opponents like they have done, i mean, its hard to say that King Mo, Gilbert Melendez or Nick Diaz top them. Sorry for my poor english writing

8 out of 11 are ufc fighters thats nearly 80% and the other 20% are strikeforce fighters.

I think with the lack of scouting available in the sport...you really can't say it for sure. There are guys that come to the ufc or strikeforce and blow through guys. Then there are guys that are in the ufc get cut and drop like stones. I believe it is just to spread out to say for sure. That said, Dana goes out in search of the best guys in every division and people eventually get on his radar.

Middleweight? Idk anybody of importance in middkeweight outside of the ufc
Gilbert melendez? See he may be a good match up to frankie edgar but grey maynard would knock him out anyday
Same with eddie alvarez he would get knocked out
So yes ufc = top 10 p4p all the time

Fedor was submitted and then brutalized.
Jacare hasn't beaten a top 10
and Aoki looked like a huge fool when everything he did was stuffed by Melendez.
