This is unfair, the guy with the missing leg makes weight much easier. He has the upper body size and strength of maybe 2 weight classes higher, and no I am not joking.

oh really? Explain how Jean Jacques Machado won every national championship in brazil with a missing hand. And what about Du Toit who qualified for the Olympic 10 km swim with one leg? And what about Jim Abbott who played in the MLB with ONE ARM. Was that an advantage too? Give me a fucking break.

Let's cut off your leg and see how well you do. Not to mention how well you train, running a mile in ten minutes on crutches 3 times doing stadiums with one leg and every single wrestling drill with a single fucking leg. I hate it when people bitch like little girls and make excuses for a guy overcoming such huge adversity.

And btw weren't you the same guy who thought bjj doesen't work in street fights?

He still has the hindrance of only having one leg man, I was thinking about your point too. Like he's got a strong ass upper body for his weight bc having one leg means less weight on the lower body. But it's incredible that he's successfully adjusted his technique for his stature. Give him his credit he's won a d1 ncaa national championship.

Zaya relax dude, seriously either take a chill pill or go run for 4-5 miles if you got the stamina to get your aggression out, It is a sarcastic joke, you think there is anybody in the world who would not appreciate a one legged wrestler competing and doing so well? Are you that ignorant? Also as far as street fight, if you want to argue go back to that thread and read the posts and try to understand them which is obviously something you do not do before slapping your paws on that keyboard of yours. I said mma is not a street fight representation because of all the rules so adding elbows or taking them away cannot be justified or unjustified by that parallel. I did not say Jiu jitsu will not work, I said, when there are no rules or weapon limitations things are different.
Example : You can hide your hands while mounted so your opponent does not get an americana or an armbar on you while you are rolling, if you do that in MMA you will got KTFO'ed. Same thing you try to go fight on the street with MMA rules against a guy who has a sharp object or a weapon in his hand, or does not care if he pokes your eye out, and you are doing your street fighting representation of MMA with elbows, you are looking for long night in the hospital. Seriously please read this and try to digest it and stop saying things like, aren't you that dude who said jiu-jitsu sucks?!!?! " so you can get everyone else to back you up. If I thought Jiu jitsu sucked, or did not work, I would not train 5 days week with and without GI, even if i got smashed and tapped countless times.

I do give him all the credit too. Truly inspirational. Andy had a point tho. He probably def knew the particular advantages he would have and adapted perfectly. My brother is an amputee and a badass. Didnt make excuses, just got in there. Made the allstar team everytime.

On avg a single leg is 20% of your body weight I think.. then take how much his other leg atrophies as well then yes you come up with a guy that is I would say 3-4 weight classes lower. I don't take anything away from him(don't think thats what this post is!).. its incredibly inspirational and shows you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I believe he is becoming a motivational speaker as well with is awesome.

He does have particular advantages and disadvantages and he absolutely adapted.. his upper body is insanely strong for the weight class.. believe he benches 305.. and thats obviously without the full body support ie leg drive, solid base etc.. which makes it even more impressive.. and he can do chins/pulls for days. Also not having the other leg means his opponents have to adapt because they lose a controlling feature.. you can even see in that match his opponent struggles because of that. And the disadvantages are obvious.. shooting and maneuvering isn't necessarily going to be easy among other things lol.

I'm not trying to take anything away from him so don't flame me.. When I watched it several weeks ago it was incredibly motivational.. and still is. Hes an exceptional person.
