Anderson would beat either of them any time, not including lucky shots or injuries. jon jones may be big but hes not experienced enough yet to take on someone like silva. silva has good reach, so jones' reach wouldnt be too special. although jones throws crazy strikes in his fights, anderson throws completely controlled, 100% accurate crazy strikes at will and at the perfect moment, just look at his standing elbow KO on youtube. jones is a great wrestler, if he got a hold of silva he might be able to take him down okay, but anderson is still much better on the ground and once again has much more experience there as well. gsp is just crazy

yeah id love to see gsp lose, but i dont want shields to win, i dunno what it is, i just dont really like him :/
i think gsp will keep it standing and dominate there, with the occasional bits of groundwork

same i was gonna say the same thing
jab, takedown, jab for 3 rounds, takedown
im sure shields will get in and get him against the fence, and im not gonna count shields out, im sure he will get atleast one takedown
that would be crazy if shields went in their though with crazy ass stand up

Anderson said if Aldo was his weight he would retire.

GSP is too nice a guy to cheer against.

Nooooo way. Jones is basically Chael Sonnen with the ability to finish. Plus jones is much bigger, stronger, longer, and faster. Jones would dismantle sonnen worse than he did Bader.

You mean Roy Jones Jr. And he didn't necessarily say he wouldn't move up in weight. He said he doesn't want to move up and move down. It was the move down, GSP said, that negatively affected RJJ.

Jones has the longest reach in the UFC. Anderson's reach is long for his division. Jones' reach would be something special. Trust me. Plus, anyone who knows Anderson's career knows that good wrestlers have been a weakness. Lutter took him down with ease. Sonnen, rib notwithstanding. Okami. Jones is much bigger, stronger, and faster than all of them....and he finishes fights.

I'm not going to say that Jones would beat Silva. Silva's a legend for a reason. The old saying, you fight with 20% of what you know. Silva fights with at least 80% of what he knows. But Jones is definitely a more credible threat than some people think. Give him some more wins over top competition. You'll see.

Haha how would chael still win? Do you just not like jones? I mean, if jones can manhandle a bigger stronger wrestler in Ryan Bader, I'm sure he can handle sonnen even easier.

As far as Jones vs heavyweights, he'd have to go overeem and bulk up to at least 255 to be competitive. And once there, I think he'd do well if he keeps his speed and agility. He's always going to have the reach advantage so that's in his favor too. But I doubt he'd be able to move up right now at his current weight and hang with brock or cain or carwin. He might be able to stop big country. Haha. But if he packed on some functional muscle, I could see him being a force.

ryan isnt bigger, not that i know of maybe by height but idk about size
chael backs up his shit talking, and bader didnt do shit, if chael had a decent ranking in bjj or hell maybe even 10th planet i think he would be a serious threat on the ground
and i dont really like jones, mainly because of the fact that i knew that if he won, everybody would say "oh he needs to go to heavyweight and beat anderson", or "oh anderson needs to move up so bones can murder him" jones is a fluke

the hype about jones is what he represents...the new generation of guys that are just all about mma that never did anything else. He not only beat rua...he destroyed him and unlock Brock Rua is a Legend so you can't say that Rua was hyped or a can or anything. I think with our current batch of LHW the only 2 that have a shot at him are machida and rampage because of rampage's power and machidas awkward stand up. Not saying they would win..saying they have the most credible threats. If rampage beats Hammil I'm sure he gets the next title shot if Rashad doesn't beat Mr. Wonderful.

I think the Jones has an advantage over Silva because silva would be the person coming up to fight him. The same holds true with gsp coming up to fight silva.

As for Rashad? LOL...not even a prayer....rashad's lack of size is really going to hurt him against Jones...training with him or not. With the bigger LHWs in the mix I just don't see him being able to compete. We're not talking about Lidell and and griffin being gate keepers anymore. I expect him to beat Mr. Wonderful but I see him having a far harder time than some people expect and he may potentially be upset.
