If he fights at middle, he might be able to be champ if Anderson retires. But I still see guys like Okami and Marquardt stopping him before he gets to the title. But he'd make a great champ.

If he drops like Sheilds did, he'd have to fight Shields or GSP. He just doesn't have the tools to beat those guys. But he'll be very entertaining. And that's what I love about the guy. He's fun. But I don't see him becoming champ while GSP and Silva are around.

    Who knows though? We'll see.

Saying Mayhem doesn't have the tools is a bit rediculous. He is obviously good enough to compete with top notch competition. He did almost beat Shields if the second round would have been ten seconds longer that rear aked choke would have ended it. Training with Werdum and Shogun now he will only improve. I think he will be a contender for the belt withing the next year to year and a half. He wouldn't beat Belfort or Silva right now but other than that I believe he is up there.

I agree. That's why I'm saying, his tool set doesn't match well with the top 5 in his division in the UFC. I'm sure he'll do well and be competitive and exciting, but IDK if he can pull it off. But anything's possible.
