How dissapointing... Now gsp is gonna cry about how he dident finish a fight again. That was the worst fight ever gsp is boring as hell and scared of the ground. But on a brighter note Machida is a beast and aldo/homnick showed great heart and determanation i want to see a rematch. Also that flying triangle was insane.

i still think the highlight of the night was that insane ass crane kick
i missed the 1st round cuz i fell asleep during the day
but i think gsp lost the stand up battle atleast in the 4th round? if thats the one where he supposedly "poked his eye"
i still give credit to gsp though cuz he won, and i knew he would
aldo/hominick i missed
and wats this about a flying triangle?
i just wanna see the entrances of lyoto and gsp with their gis on

The fight wnet how I figured it would. GSP out striking Shields on his feet and Shields having no answer. When I read/heard about all the people Shields was bringing in I didn't hear anything about an elite striker, only grapplers. GSP fights to win, while it can be boring he still wins. I thought Shields game plan wasn;t very good and it cost him.

Machida looked bad ass, great angles from and off the clinch. Jumping front kick was great, but what made it better was him saying Steven Seagal was working with him on it lol.
As for GSP vs Jake, i think GSP looked a little over trained! No doubt he won that fight as every1 expected, but his timing and work rate seemed a little off. Jake did an incredible job, landing some really decent shots on GSP in a kickboxing match, and only eating 1-2 power shots. Jake made the fight in my mind.

I thought the fight was more stressful then anything, waiting to see if either of them would get clipped/tagged. I was surprised Shields didnt try to shoot more or at least pull guard, albeit his standup wasn't too shabby.

GSP fight was a bore. Next time he and Aldo co-main event, the Aldo fight might be THE main. GSP needs to lose; a loss will bring back the fire. If you compare the effort of GSP and Shields to that of Aldo and Hominick, the difference in the desire to win is discernible.
