Is the front kick the secret to winning in mma?

Silva did it, machida did it, hell I was half expecting aldo to pull it off(maybe next time). These people must be on to something what do you think?

If a guy squares up to shoot a kick to the face should be the natural counter. Its amazing it happens so rarely.

Yeah, getting nailed there hurts Brent, but you learn to defend it with time in.

I just took my 1st liver shots from my coach the other day. He was doing it at most 50% power too. Yeah, they work is all I gotta say lol.

imo i would take a shot to the head anyday over a shot to the body
head movement can cut the chances of getting kod by like 30 percent
not said to easily about body shots
    liver shots
getting the wind knocked out of u
    broken ribs

Front kick works well in mma right now, because it is underutilized, just like how jab was about a year ago. When an effective technique is underutilized, then people train less counters or defenses against it, therefore they work for the period of time, until everybody adds it to their game. Remember how godly jiujitsu was 15-20 years ago, and now it is less effective in fights (compared to 20 years ago) since people train submission defence as a daily part of their mma training routine.
