Intentional? Sure looks like it

Ok I found the video somewhere else, it does not look intentionall, it looks like that Shields still does not know anything about striking, that he is very uncomfortable and scared while staying in the pocket. It looks like he is swinging his hand in the zone to prevent GSP from coming in with a solid shot. It looks more intentional in slow mo, than it does in real time. Decisions are made in real time so I dont think it was intentional. It was Shields flapping around to make up for his sucky standup.

I blame Greg Jackson and Firas Zahabi... Steven Seagal would have told GSP to strengthen his eye muscles using an ancient technique that he actually invented.

ya i hate to admit it cuz i like jake
but it looks really intentional
maybe he was setting something up and didnt mean to hit gsp
or maybe he was trying to slap him or push him away

I have to agree that looks intentional...because when you get that close to someones face, you normally close your fist!! But like everyone else is saying, accidents happen!!

That poke totally looked intentional from that video. Shields had his fingers extended the whole way and it's not like GSP ducked into the "eye jab." Accidents do happen, but that looks like a straight up eye jab to me.
